Ride release new remixes, US toue ends next week

Ride have revealed remixes of ‘Repetition’ (Gabe Gurnsey Gabe Gurnsey Remix Remix) and ‘Kill Switch’ (Faders Down Remix).

In his customary style, Gabe Gurnsey (Factory Floor, Phantasy Sound) strips “Repetition” back to a tough, electro house banger, marrying synths and drum programming that evoke the spirit of classic New Order productions.Ride’s very own Loz Colbert and collaborator James Hockley – under the pseudonym Faders Down – turns “Kill Switch” into a dramatic, dancefloor-focused track with sinister, pumping bass under swathes of swirling feedback and vocals.

The original versions of both songs are taken from the album ‘This Is Not A Safe Place’, which was released in mid-August to a wealth of critical and commercial success, becoming the band’s highest charting album in 25 years in the process.

Their US tour ends next week before touring Japan, the UK and Europe into 2020.
