LONDON, UK (February 23, 2024) – Hot off the heels of the release of his track “River” and sold-out UK, EU, and US tour, singer-songwriter and DIY phenom extraordinaire Myles Smith today announces his debut EP, You Promised A Lifetime, will be released on March 29 along with a string of brand new UK and European dates. A guitar player from the age of nine, Myles Smith is the man behind streaming sensations “Solo” and “My Home.” Over the last year, his profile has skyrocketed as he’s released a string of original tracks and captivating covers that mix folk, Americana, and pop. His dedicated fanbase is evident, with 100 million streams to his name, over 569K followers on Instagram, 5.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and almost 800K followers on TikTok. If that wasn’t enough, his current ‘The Not So Lonely’ UK, EU, and US tour has completely sold out, making Myles one of the hottest new artists.
Myles said of his debut EP: “This title represents a profound, yet neutral statement, which gains meaning through the perspective of the person reading it. With the project, my own stories, and the stories of those around me were used to create it, but it’s the stories and journeys of those listening who truly give it life, depending on where you are in life and what you are feeling. I hope it gives space to people to unlock their own meanings.”
Drawing inspiration from music he listened to growing up, he began his musical career by singing covers from the likes of Chris Martin, Mumford & Sons, and Ed Sheeran, but it was his rendition of The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather” that saw things move online.
A university graduate, Myles has also set up a diversity, equality, and inclusion business supporting globally successful educational institutions, organizations, sports clubs, and firms to embody informed anti-racist principles and approaches.
