Rising star Nadia Loren returns with new single ‘Wings of Desire’

Following the breakout success of her debut EP Kiss & Drive, fast-rising UK pop newcomer Nadia Loren returns with new single ‘Wings of Desire’, a luminous, cinematic anthem that marks the beginning of a new era. Released via VLF Records, the track arrives ahead of Nadia’s debut performance at The Great Escape, where she will perform on the TGE Beach – Soundwaves stage at 8:15pm on Thursday 14th May.

Written during a transformative trip to Los Angeles, ‘Wings of Desire’ captures Nadia at her most confessional and self-reflective yet. Inspired by the Wim Wenders film ‘Wings of Desire’, the song explores the tension between emotional detachment and the vulnerability that comes with real human connection. Floating between euphoric freedom and quiet melancholy, Nadia blends shimmering pop production with raw introspection, creating a soundtrack for reckless summers and the fear of truly letting someone in.

Speaking on the single, Nadia shares: “‘Wings of Desire’ feels like the opening statement to the next chapter of my music and my life. I wanted it to feel youthful, beautiful and freeing, but also honest about how scary it can be to really show your feelings. There’s this tension in the song between wanting to stay detached and in control, or risking everything for genuine human connection. I wrote it in LA and was really inspired by how surreal and angelic everything felt around me — I wanted the song to live in that world.”

Already establishing herself as one of the UK’s most exciting new pop voices, Nadia Loren has rapidly built a devoted fanbase through her diaristic songwriting, glossy ‘happy/sad’ production palette and emotionally charged live performances.
