Rizzle Kicks, returned in style with comeback single ‘Javelin’ which saw the pair reunite for their first new music in over nine years. A natural evolution of the duo’s original sound that won over so many initially; a mature, jazzy, R&B/pop amalgam with Jordan’s trademark charismatic lyricism paired with Harley’s smooth vocals. Rizzle Kicks then delivered a continuation of their mature and evolved sound on new track ‘Gumdrops’. Offering a nuanced discussion about masculinity and lad culture, the track’s smooth bassline weaves between Jordan and Harley’s vocals as they capture the bittersweet essence of adolescence.

Their album, Competition Is For Losers, saw Rizzle Kicks return to the pop music space sober, both in love and equipped with life lessons, self-awareness and maturity they’ve built on separately, all the while retaining their sense of humour and humanity that always set them apart from other artists.
Their music and bright personalities were synonymous with summer, sparking the creation of the phrase ‘Rizzle Kicks Weather’, and seeing the pair embedded in the cultural zeitgeist of the country. After a hiatus to work on solo endeavours, the duo are now re-energised and poised to reclaim their place as one of Britain’s most entertaining duos.

ABOUT Rizzle Kicks
Jordan Stephens and Harley Sulé, met in Brighton, UK in 2006. After attending BRIT School together, the duo began to collaborate, forming Rizzle Kicks. Capturing the hearts and minds of an entire generation of Britain with their cheeky, irreverent and catchy songs, the duo catapulted to fame with hits such as UK Top 10 Down With The Trumpets, Mama Do The Hump, Skip To The Good Bit, and Olly Murs collaboration ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ which topped the UK charts in 2011. Soon followed by multiple UK sold out tours including O2 Academy in Brixton, and festival appearances at Reading & Leeds, T In The Park to name but a few.
Nine years ago the pair mutually decided to bow out of the music scene for mental health reasons which they have both been open about: Harley citing struggles with anxiety and depression, and Jordan speaking frankly about dealing with an unhealthy relationship with drugs. Jordan has remained in the public eye, most recently engaging in conversations around masculinity and mental health in his new book ‘Avoidance, Drugs, Heartbreak and Dogs’, which is out now. Meanwhile, Harley took time to focus on being a father of two as well as songwriting behind the scenes with the likes of Tom Grennan, Celeste and Rachel Chinouriri.
