An infectious energy and distinctive aesthetic approach. Tkay Maidza is back with a creative rebirth where her sonic world has no ceiling.

The first female rapper signed to 4AD, on a steady ascent of success and innovation. Tkay Maidza creates with such a clear vision, building her reputation as a world-building rapper album to album. The Zimbabwean-born Australian artist pens unapologetic lyrics and displays a dexterous versatility, melding pop sensibilities with an array of rapping styles and electronic subgenres.

Tkay Maidza once again invites us into her world, with a new focus, evolved sense of self, slick beats and sharp lyricism. Following the storytelling Last Year Was Weird trilogy, which explored Maidza’s African-Australian experience, Sweet Justice is personal once again. A diaristic account and an empowering experience, recounting her life lessons so far. With production credits to Canadian producers Stint and Kaytranada, and fellow Australian Flume, this album thrives in its dark and experimental twists, with nothing but high energy injected from Tkay and her collaborators.
