Rough Trade release baseline heavy DA7 debut single

Rough Trade [Tracks Of The Week] “a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new”

Artrocker “it’s pop in all the right places, a delicious chopped and screwed ‘hum’ sample for a bassline, echoing space horns and sultry bluesy vocals from Miss Bea”

As DJs Double Agent 7’s mission is to play killer floorfillers from the 50s & 60s all exclusively on vinyl 45s. Blending elements of Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Do Wop, Rockabilly and 60s Soul, their sets have taken them to Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, New York & San Francisco, and festivals including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Kendal Calling, Bandada, Castlepalooza in Ireland and La Batie in Switzerland.

They have recently formed Da7, a musical collaboration with producer Lazlo Legezer (My Toys Like Me). Their first release ‘Dopamine Fiend’ is being released on limited edition 7” vinyl via Rough Trade.  3 minutes of old school sampledelic breakbeat / bigbeat straight out of West London, it features the vocals of Annie Bea.  Take a listen below, and feel free to share should you so fancy >
