Following a name change from “Brandt Orange,” Chicago-born, LA-based artist Mei released his debut single, titled “Rudimental,” under his new name on August 7th via Cosmica Artists.
Today, he released the accompanying music video.

Since its release, “Rudimental” has been praised by Before The Data, Highlark Mag, and Fashionably Early as “another extension of his brilliant… sound he’s been developing since 2018,” and Ones To Watch shared an interview with Mei on the single.

Artist Bio
Mei is a 23-year-old Chinese American songwriter and producer with a unique perspective on the crests and troughs of modern relationships.
Mei’s writing often touches on conflicts of interest in heartbreak, identity, and life in the digital age in a tone that is intimate and introspective. Now, Mei has his sights on a larger body of work that is slated for release in 2021. Released on August 7th, “Rudimental” is his debut single off of that release.
