Russian Gun Dogs – from bedroom rehearsals to supporting Maximo Park in July
Russian Gun Dogs Recording, releasing and hitting the main stage of Godiva Festival on July 6th.
In just a few years, a ones to watch outfit from the Midlands, Russian Gun Dogs, have gone from rehearsing and recording in a bedroom to gathering a flock of fans, a growing wealth of excited feedback, the realisation that they could actually break through and an increasingly exciting future.
On Saturday 6th July they will appear on the main stage of the UK’s biggest free music event, Godiva Festival, Coventry with Maximo Park, Reverend & The Makers, The View and more. The three day event attracts over 80,000 revellers annually and mixes established artists with the most up and coming new tips, like this band. RGD’s dark tinged new wave is overlaid with the kind of epic vocals that turn crowd sing alongs into alternative rock choirs. This band are determined to be different, and to be heard, whatever size the audience.
There is release news imminent, plus one of their songs, ‘Survive’ has made the BBC Introducing Pick Of The Year’ Playlist for 2013. Plus they have been recording with acclaimed producer, Gavin Monaghan (who has worked with a myriad of high profile artists from Robert Plant to Editors) Russian Gun Dogs keep raising their game.
