Sainté is back today with brand new track ‘Air4’. It’s the Leicester rapper’s first new solo material to follow his widely acclaimed independent EPs (Vacation, Out the Blue, and Local MVP), which have clocked over 300 million streams and seen Sainté open for the likes of Denzel Curry, Kenny Beats, and play a sold-out European headline tour including London’s Village Underground. Festivals off the back of Sainté’s 5-show Rolling Loud run continue this summer at Reading & Leeds (August 24th-25th) and Maiden Voyage (August 27th).

Atmospheric in sound and playful in attitude, ‘Air4’ is the perfect reintroduction to the ever-expanding world of Sainté. Produced by trailblazing New York drill artist Cash Cobain, the track drops alongside a video in which the local Leicester hero cuts loose and flexes his more braggadocious side (with a notable cameo from Cobain himself). ‘Air4’ also teases a brand new project from Sainté to follow.

Sainté is a multi-faceted young talent who resists the need to choose a lane. His assured, understated and unusually open work to date has been bubbling far beyond the scenes of Leicester since viral single ‘Champagne Shots’ marked him out as an instant outlier of UK rap. Today, Sainté has emerged a front-runner of a new wave of artists connecting the worlds of music, fashion, and community. Inspired by polymathic talents ranging from Tyler and Skepta to Sade (so much so he named a song after her), Sainté has carved his own cultural path all the way from semi-pro basketball to featuring in campaigns for Louis Vuitton (with the late Virgil Abloh), Burberry and Jean Paul Gaultier. Having moved to London during the pandemic, Sainté has already seen peers such as Knucks, A2 and Miraa May jump on his tracks, with music that’s both conversationally cocksure and introspectively candid.

Fresh from a cameo on the Drake tour in Zack Bia’s Learn To Fly project – where Sainté guests alongside Lil Yachty, JID and Don Toliver – check out ‘Air4’ now…and watch out for much more from Sainté, the next-up of UK rap, to follow soon.
