Salad Undressed are singer Marijne van der Vlugt and guitarist Paul Kennedy from the cult 1990s band Salad, the alternative rock group first formed in London in 1992. ‘Being Human’ is the first single since Salad released Yeah Yeah in 1997. It is the first track from Salad Undressed’s upcoming album ‘Good Love Bad Love’. Described “a poignant and reflective song” The new song deals with the idea of pulling together in this life. The fact it also drives along like “a freight train” in the dead of a hot summer’s night, also endears the new single.
Salad Undressed are currently gigging as a 2 piece, but fans will breath a collective sigh seeing new material at the merch stall in many-a-venue to come.
As a point ‘Being Human’, available as a free download via PledgeMusic, should not have to be repeated, but the todays political, relationshop and with general social unrest, the udea of being or remaining as human, before pride, delusion or hatered empowers or disables what most would call coman sense.
The chicken bones agree for once, Salad Undressed are of true interest. ‘Being Human’ is a tasty intriguing indroduction. 7.8/10
