On Wednesday, 15th October,  multi-Platinum, GRAMMY®, BRIT, Golden Globe, and Oscar-winning artist and songwriter Sam Smith celebrated their highly anticipated residency, “To Be Free: New York City” at Warsaw, one of Brooklyn’s most historic venues.

The residency gives fans a rare chance to see Sam perform in an up close and intimate setting.  The original 12 date run immediately sold out and will now extend through December due to demand and follows Sam’s new single, “To Be Free.” Praised by The New York Times, Rolling Stone (“Sam Smith feels light as a feather”), Billboard (“one of their most striking songs in years”), Stereogum (“heartstring-pulling … immensely powerful”), and more, the track explores how vulnerability can unlock bravery and freedom and includes vocals by The TwoCity Chorus.

The evening kicked off with an unforgettable opening set from 20- year- old- London based, breakout singer- songwriter SIENNA SPIRO.

Continuing their ongoing collaboration, Sam opened their “To Be Free: New York City” residency exclusively with Vivienne Westwood wearing custom looks from Creative Director Andreas Kronthaler.
