RELEASED ON DITTO MUSIC – 24TH NOVEMBER 2014
Singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Samantha Durnan is set to release a new single on Ditto Music on the 24th of November 2014.
‘Who Would Have Thought’, co- produced with Patrick Jordan and recorded in her home patch of Teesside, follows the recent eponymously titled download EP which received critical acclaim and airplay from the likes of BBC Introducing’s Bob Fischer and Radio 1’s Jen and Ally. The new single features three contrasting versions of ‘Who Would Have Thought’, the stunning lead track, a beautiful solo acoustic take and a remix by DJ and producer Marcus Wedgewood.
Taking inspiration from Stevie Nicks, KT Tunstall and Michelle Branch, Samantha is steadily building up an ever-expanding fan base around the country as a result of headline shows and support spots with the likes of Kate Nash, Beverley Knight and Ed Sheeran. She has been effortlessly crafting a constantly growing songbook of innovative and inspirational pop music from such an early age and is now delivering without doubt the most accomplished set of songs to date.
Samantha, who is set to play in Australia and America, will set off for a tour in Dubai in October before returning to the UK for live dates with her band line up of Jack Johnson (Drums), Steph Hooton (Bass), Chris Groom (Piano / Keys) and Dave Rutherford (Guitar) to coincide with the single release. More details to follow.
