OF THE HALF-TIME SHOW OF THE FINAL OF THE

FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™

“ DAI DAI ”, the new single by SHAKIRA and Burna Boy, is available from today on all digital platforms and in rotation on the radio from Friday 22 May. It is the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise 100 million dollars by the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ to ensure children around the world have access to quality education and sporting activities.

Shakira will partner with Global Citizen and FIFA to promote access to education in underserved communities, donating proceeds from her “Dai Dai” royalties and $1 from every ticket sold on her upcoming “ Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran ” tour to the education fund.

Shakira will co-headline the Halftime Show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ Final on Sunday, July 19, alongside Madonna and BTS . For the first time in FIFA World Cup™ history, the final will include a halftime show that will bring together international artists in a unique moment, bridging sport, culture and social engagement, in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

The announcement of the release of “ DAI DAI ” was made via a teaser video by the Colombian artist filmed at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, following the sensational “ Todo Mundo No Rio ” concert on Copacabana Beach, which attracted over 2 million spectators . The show also paid tribute to Brazil with the participation of special guests, including Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, and Ivete Sangalo.

This summer, Shakira will embark on a special limited run of U.S. dates on her record-breaking “ Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour ,” and in October she will headline an 11-date European stadium residency based in Madrid, where a specially built stadium called “Shakira Stadium” will be built for her, which has already sold over half a million tickets.

Additionally, this year Billboard crowned Shakira as the artist with the “highest-grossing Latin tour of all time,” thanks to her recent “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” which generated $421.6 million from 82 stadium shows across the U.S. and Latin America and attended by over 3.3 million spectators.

For Burna Boy , this collaboration represents another milestone in a career that connects music, sport, and culture on a global scale. Considered one of the most influential African artists of his generation, Burna Boy has become synonymous with stadium performances and the global rise of African music and culture. From global stadium tours to NBA All-Star Game performances, Burna Boy continues to redefine African artistry at the highest levels around the world.

“The World Cup is one of the few things the whole world experiences together,”said Burna Boy . “ Football and music speak the same language. They unite people regardless of their background, and being part of this moment through music means a lot to me .”
