Following their sold out performance at London’s beautiful Chats Palace this week, London based vocal group Shards are proud to announce Milton Court at Barbican as their next London show for April 2020. Shards was conceived in 2016 in collaboration with the Barbican and debuted at the Nils Frahm curated marathon weekend Possibly Colliding, which led to further collaborations on the choral arrangements for Frahm’s 2018 album All Melody.Shards have also been confirmed for the Mercury KX and Decca Publishing SXSW 2020 showcase. Shards will perform alongside: Lambert, Luke Howard, Sophie Hutchings, Anatole and Alex Somers. Shards recently released debut album Find Sound out via Erased Tapes, is an exploration of the human voice; using the concepts of sound and light as simple metaphors for gaining understanding. The album’s pieces are intended to be miniature sonic paintings, with each adding to an overall picture of the emotional confusion of early adulthood: the uncertainty, the excitement, the terror and relief.Further UK dates have been announced for 2020.
