a short message of love & solidarity from the dresden dolls.

hola comrades…

this is just a message of love from us to you, especially our friends and fans in america in this post-election season.

when the going gets tough, the tough make art.

we are all feeling the strain right now.

we love you guys, and we are so grateful you’re on the list and in our world.

and we hope that you spend the next few days hunkering down in a space of love and compassion and reflection with loved ones – friends, family, strangers….whoever is at hand.

please don’t forget that unity is the way forward. not hate. not division. not anger. more compassion, more listening.

we’re all in this together.

and who knows. it could be that donald trump is going to make punk cabaret great again…indirectly.
“No great art has ever been made without the artist having known danger.”
– Rainer Marie Rike
and a note from brian….

I just hope that everyone will remember to take action, get involved in their communities and the causes they want to support, and stay informed about the issues for protecting themselves and each other. Hopefully this list will help provide some resources, among the many great ones out there.
