[Los Angeles, CA – July 17, 2026] – Today, New Jersey native, Los Angeles bound singer-songwriter Ally Salort releases her anticipated EP, Isn’t it sweeter? A refreshing collection that is equal parts tongue-in-cheek and heart-on-its-sleeve, the project embraces newfound confidence without sacrificing emotional honesty. On the EP, Ally shares: “Isn’t it sweeter? is a collection of songs representative of the idea that wherever you go, you’re still you. I wrote some of them while in London and whenever I go to a new city I always kind of feel like the first track on the ep ‘I’ve never met her’ – like a brand new person. I quickly realized however that I was still writing, thinking, talking about the same things I would at home. The title to me is kind of a play on “the grass is always greener” – and how you always think a quick fix like running away to a new city is going to solve all your problems. Writing this ep was definitely a reminder that it in fact won’t. There’s some escapism, avoidance, letting go, and eventually acceptance on this project and I hope that’s what the listener feels throughout.”
Isn’t it sweeter? includes the release of recent singles, “Proof,” a salt in the wound realization that it took moving on for someone else to recognize your worth,“Housekeeping,” a yearning yet pragmatic mindset on letting someone go, “Finish Line,” a reflection on ambition and self-imposed expectations, and “I’ve Never Met Her,” a self-assured look at the distance between who you were and who you are now. Ally is at her most earnest in love with new tracks like “If We Had Forever,” while “A Little More Fun”recognizes that sometimes, the fleeting nature of a connection is what makes it so exciting.

With a voice that carries both warmth and vulnerability, Ally’s music dives deep into themes of love, self-discovery, and emotional growth. Growing up in the creatively rich town of Maplewood, New Jersey, she fell in love with singing early on, asking for voice lessons at just seven after watching her older brother perform. That spark quickly turned into something bigger when, at 14, she was flown to Los Angeles as a finalist in a national talent search. A year later, she began posting covers on YouTube, eventually finding her stride on TikTok, where her mix of raw vocals and heartfelt songwriting drew a dedicated and growing fanbase. Now, at 23, Ally has released her debut EP, Change of Plans, and most recent EP, Isn’t it sweeter?, marking a powerful new chapter in her artistic journey.
