Singing and Songwriting Sensation Ariel B. Releases a Trio of Songs From Her Upcoming Album Debut“Mystery,” “Keep On” and “Send Me” were produced by famed hitmaker Narada Michael Walden

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 3, 2020) – San Francisco-based singer and songwriter Ariel B. is set to make a big splash with a trio of debut song releases, the first offerings of a musical collaboration she’s begun with multiple Grammy and Emmy-winning producer Narada Michael Walden.

A graduate of the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of Arts, where she studied classical music and opera, Ariel B. (who sings in Italian, German, French and English) became a star on the local music scene where she performed R&B and pop in clubs.

Influenced by such artists as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince and Chaka Kahn, among others, her supple voice and sharp songwriting skills caught Walden’s ear, who offered his services as producer..“This is the realization of a dream,” says Ariel B. “I’ve been performing music for a long time, and to now be working with Narada Michael Walden feels a little surreal. I’ve always admired him for the music he made with Whitney Houston, who is my favorite artist of all time. To have a chance to work with him myself and discover that we have our own musical chemistry has been overwhelming.”

Listeners will be similarly overwhelmed by “Mystery,” a lush, sweeping love ballad built over a hypnotic groove and featuring an enveloping chorus that sticks in your head for days. You can listen to “Mystery” here.

Ariel B.’s next track, “Keep On,” is a glorious, uplifting and enriching gem about giving thanks and finding resolve to move forward, a soothing balm for today’s trying times. You can listen to “Keep On” here.

On June 1, Ariel B.’s third track, “Send Me,” will be released. It finds the singer in a state of all-out bliss, and music fans will be equally enraptured by its warm glow and Ariel B.’s luscious vocals. You can listen to “Send Me” here.

All songs will be available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and Tidal.Ariel B. admits she first experienced jitters at the prospect of working with the famed, multi-platinum hitmaker, Walden. “You walk into his studio and there are all these plaques of Whitney and Mariah Carey and everybody – who wouldn’t be intimidated?” she says. However, the moment she sat down with the producer and his team, all traces of nervousness subsided.

“Narada and his crew immediately put me at ease. They made me feel as though I deserved to be there. Narada is a great coach; he shows you what you have to do in order to be successful.”As Ariel B. explains, “Mystery” began with a motif that Walden sent her, which she then ran with and completed. “Keep On” started out with Walden’s original music, for which Ariel B. wrote lyrics. “It’s a lot of fun working with Narada,” she says, “because even though he’s so brilliant and accomplished, he’s really into collaborating and he’s open to my ideas.”

For his part, Walden is no less effusive. “Ariel B. is a new find in the galaxy of stars,” he raves. “She’s a lovely person, talented and hardworking, and she’s making her way up in this world. God tapped me on the shoulder and brought a Whitney spirit through her. She’s on her way to a bright career that’s filled from the heaven to earth in richness. It’s been a joy to watch her grow.”

“Mystery” is accompanied by a ravishing video directed by Walden’s longtime videographer Joël Margolis. “Joël did a sensational job,” says Ariel B. “He captured every mood and feeling of the song magnificently.” You can watch the video on YouTube.

Of her ongoing collaboration with Walden, Ariel B. say that the two have a host of songs recorded and in various stages of completion, and the plan is to release a track per month with an eye toward an EP and an eventual album. She has also recorded another upcoming song, “Ain’t It Funny,” which was produced by Oaktown Soul.

As is the case with other artists during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ariel B. is unable to perform live for the foreseeable future, but she promises that she’ll stay visible through social media. “I’ll be working on live videos for various platforms, so I’ll be putting myself out there,” she says. “I have acoustic piano versions of songs that I’ll release soon, and I did a quarantine-style video with my mom for ‘Keep On.’ Artists have to look for creative ways to reach fans until we can get back out there and perform again.”
