Skunk Anansie’s 2017 European Tour Nears
Skunk Anansie return from a triumphant run of summer festivals with news of a full European tour in early 2017. The band will be bringing their electrifying live show to a phenomenal 14 countries staking their claim as one of Europe’s most successful live bands.
‘Power and grace, rage and melancholy, violence and delicacy’
Skunk Anansie formed in 1994, and have released six studio albums: Paranoid and Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh (1996), Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), Wonderlustre (2010) and Black Traffic (2012); they have also issued the compilation album ‘Smashes and Trashes’ (2009), plus the acoustic CD / DVD ‘An Acoustic Skunk Anansie – Live In London’ (2013), along with a run of hit singles, including ‘Charity’, ‘Hedonism’, ‘Selling Jesus’, ‘I Can Dream’ and ‘Weak’. Skunk Anansie went on to become one of the biggest rock bands in Britain and Europe selling over 5 million records.
The band returned with their sixth studio album, ‘Anarchytecture’: a collection of hard-hitting alternative rock anthems, brimming with punchy riffs and the sort of fire that can only burn from the heart and soul of vocal powerhouse, Skin.
‘Anarchytecture’ features the group’s regular line-up of Skin, guitarist Ace, bassist Cass & drummer Mark Richardson. Production by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Killing Joke, Band of Skulls) at RAK Studios in London, with mixing duties divided between Dalgety & Jeremy Wheatley.
The album features the three singles ‘Love Someone Else’ ‘ Death To The Lovers’ and ‘Without You’. In continued support Skunk Anansie will be promoting the shows with a brand new video for the song ‘ Victim’ and deluxe digital package with bonus videos for all four singles.
