San Francisco’s Slaptop premiered his new music video for the single “Distraction” (+1 Records) through Billboard HERE. Music video directors Gabriel Gomez and co-director Julien Melendez (Crooked Letter Film) capture the essence of an unforgettable evening of spontaneity in the city that never sleeps. It’s a follow-up video to “Sunrise”, which is well on its way to reaching 600,000 views.

“The “Distraction” music video was shot chronologically over the course of one Summer night in New York City.  It is the companion to the “Sunrise” video, which was shot in the same format in San Francisco.  Spontaneity & commitment from our friends old and new make these videos happen.” Director, Gabriel Gomez

Billboard says “Seems like this kid’s going places, and not just to the rooftop.”

Earlier Slaptop released an official remix for for Maroon 5’s hit single “Maps” HERE.Mashable premiered the remix HERE, calling it “hypnotic, mesmerizing”. This remix followed ZHU “Faded” (Slaptop Remix) HERE and Jaymes Young “Habits Of My

Heart” (Slaptop Remix) HERE, which went to #1 on the Hype Machine charts.

“Sunrise” immediately shot to the top 5 of iTunes’ electronic charts and top 3 of the Hype Machine charts. The single was revealed via This Song Is Sick HERE and has received nearly 800,000 Soundcloud plays now and nearly 2 million Spotify plays.
