SLASH CHOOSES MATIVISION TO LAUNCH THE WORLDS FIRST FULLY INTEGRATED 360 DEGREE VIDEO

Wednesday 5 December, London: Mativision, the premium 360-degree music video service, today announce the release of their Slash 360 Facebook app. Mativision uses multiple special 360-degree Mativision cameras to film and broadcast live music performances in true 360 and offer users the unique interactive experience of viewing music video from almost every angle. The musical performances are broadcast via their web based Mativision player and their range of 360 iPhone Apps.

Mativision have now developed a Slash 360 Facebook app, which is the worlds first fully Facebook integrated 360 Degree video platform, broadcasting a fully interactive performance of Slash’s US hit single ‘Standing in the Sun’ via Slash’s official Facebook page. The Mativision Facebook optimised player puts the user in complete control of their view of the action and enables them to direct their own music video. Users can now seamlessly switch from different vantage points (cameras) and choose between multiple synchronised camera views whilst also being able to rotate and zoom in and out, all in real time on Facebook.

The Facebook app release marks a development in Mativision’s existing partnership with Slash, which has already seen the international 360-degree music video service launch a Slash 360 iPhone. The iPhone app was extremely successful, and was included in the top ten of iTunes Top Grossing App Chart in 14 countries worldwide.

Slash stated: “I think the 360 application definitely takes the listener into the world of the musician so that you can actually be in the room where the artist is recording or in a live situation where you can be all around the stage and behind the stage and it just gives it a lot more depth and it really sort of puts you in the world of what the artist is doing.”

‘APOCALYPTIC LOVE’ EATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS UT NOW

In May 2012 SLASH stormed the charts worldwide with the release of his second solo album, APOCALYPTIC LOVE. Registering a No 4 chart entry in the USA and No 2 in Canada, Slash replicated this success in both Europe and Australasia with a further 13 Top 10 chart entries. Testament to a unique artist who has produced an incredible album.

APOCALYPTIC LOVE features SLASH and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators — Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Todd Kerns (bass)– and is out now on SLASH’s own label DikHayd International in the US and through Roadrunner Records in Europe, Middle East, and Africa

In the UK, the album was also released in an exclusive Classic Rock Fan Pack form – providing a unique collectable package containing the studio album with bonus tracks alongside a specially created magazine with unseen behind-the-scenes content put together by Classic Rock magazine.

APOCALYPTIC LOVE followed his 2010 debut album Slash (also released in Fan Pack format and which has now sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone) and his November2011 first-ever live solo album, the two-CD/DVD set Made In Stoke 24/7/11.

Following a sold out UK headline tour in October 2012. Slash returns to the UK for the following dates.
