It’s been just over six months since Northampton-bred rapper, Slowthai, barged his way to the fore with his debut EP, ‘slowitdownn’. The project quickly earned him a cult following and plenty of industry co-signs and nods from fashion innovators like Places & Faces and Patta, all of them endorsing his refreshing hybrid of experimental rap-grime.

Fresh off the back of a buoyant performance at Boy Better Know’s recent London’s O2 Arena takeover and new single “Murder”, he’s back with his next uppercut. ‘I Wish I Knews’ sees the 22-year-old unleash six new tracks, further experimenting with the punk energy that have made his live shows unmissable. Produced by R&S-approved don, Kwes Darko, with appearances from Amsterdam’s Yung Nnelg, it’s a 22-minute joyride that Bone Soda encourage you to experience in one, freakish listen.

Tracks like ‘IDGAF’ are steeped in grainy, horrorcore influences custom built for the moshpit, while jams like opener ‘RIP’ and ‘Polar Bear’ continue to embody the stark griminess at the core of Slowthai’s DNA. In other words, a firm, second step from an artist increasingly turning heads and breaking necks across the UK and beyond.
