Soccer Mommy shares first single

“Sounds good…” several of us are still awake and aware enough to recommend a band called Soccer Mommy. It’s the project of 19-year-old Sophie Allison from Nashville. She dropped some ‘bedroom demos’ on Bandcamp last year to smatterings of chat and reviews. Not really one for comparisons, but they have a pop, lullaby, Frankie Cosmos-esque sound to them – if you can get all that in one?

Well – those bedroom-produced demos will be getting a more official release, through Fat Possum Records later this year. It’ll be a ‘greatest hits’ of sorts. Some new and unreleased music on their too.

This is the first single from that collection, it’s called Out Worn
