The finishing touches are being put to preparations at Cherry Hinton Hall as the Cambridge Folk Festival gets ready to celebrate its golden anniversary.
The 50th Cambridge Folk Festival has been sold out for several months, highlighting its continued success and popularity. No tickets will be available for purchase at the gate over the Festival weekend and the general public are advised not to travel to the Festival if they do not have a ticket.
Those who have been unable to obtain ticket will be able to listen to a live BBC Radio 2 Festival broadcast from Cherry Hinton with presenter Mark Radcliffe on Saturday 2nd August between 3pm and 6pm. A follow up show of highlights from the event will also be broadcast on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show with Mark Radcliffe on Wednesday 6th August between 7pm and 8pm.
As well as the BBC Radio 2 broadcasts, folk fans will be able to catch up on activity at the Festival by following the event’s social media feeds and official website which will be broadcasting exclusive backstage performances and interviews from artists at the Festival. This content will be available to view on the Festival’s website www.cambridgefolkfestival.co.uk and via the Festival’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.
