‘London’s Sonia Stein is busy pepping up our day, with her new single ‘Do You Love Me’ providing an irresistible earworm.
London based pop songstress Sonia Stein, has just revealed a new stylish video for her latest single ‘Muse’, which is set for release and premiering via Wonderland today.
The video for ‘Muse’ was directed by Aaron Bevan- Bailey and filmed out in the Joshua Tree and Coachella Valley area of the Californian desert , both providing the perfect arid, monochromic backdrop. Sonia appears wearing Gucci inspired psychedelic layered tailoring, each outfit popping with dazzling colour against the orange tones of the sandy desert and the warm golden sun.
‘Muse’ is Sonia’s latest collaboration with producer Liam Howe (Adele, Lana Del Rey, FKA Twigs, Jessie Ware). They have already combined on her previous single the beautiful ‘Do You Love Me’, currently clocking in at over 1-million views, and ‘One of Those Things’, likewise up to over 700k views. The latest single picks up exactly where she left off, her unique and entrancing vocals play out across a low key euphoric production from Howe, gently pulling you in and hooking you with soft 80s synths and muted guitar akin to Movement and Rhyme.
In her own words, Muse is a song about letting go of the idea that I need to be tortured and miserable to be inspired and creative. It’s a song about falling in love and letting myself be joyful and happy, breaking the stigma of ‘the best art coming from dark places’’.
Sonia’s previous EP ‘One of Those Things’, was released last year to much critical acclaim appearing on key influencer Spotify playlists such as Pop Justice and Disco Naiveté. She has also been playing live in Europe since her last release and will be announcing some new UK dates shortly.
