Southbank Centre – Your culture fix
The soundtrack to our latest classical season and a poetic visit to Among the Trees.
It’s the little things
Writing in the 17th century, the poet John Donne said that love ‘makes one little room an everywhere.’ If your horizon’s got a bit smaller than it used to be, it’s time to enjoy some artists sharing their passions over podcasts, videos and playlists.
We’ve had a week’s worth of sunshine, the days are getting longer and the tree over the road is starting to blossom. Spring’s definitely arrived, and if it’s art, books and music that keep you going then you’re in the right place.

But while we’re all in lockdown, they’ve switched their focus to finding you the most interesting culture available online. Keep an eye out for Tilda Swinton reading an eerie Romantic ballad…

Did you know that we generate 60% of our income ourselves? As a charity, we rely on ticket sales and other on-site income. And it’s stopped – overnight. But even though our doors are closed for now, our mission remains the same. Your continued support is more important to us than ever, as we work to make the arts available to all.
