TAJ MAHAL CANCELS DUE TO ILLNESS

June 8, 2015 – Easthampton, MA – The Northampton, MA-based band Speedy Ortiz has just been added to the 2015 Solid Sound Festival lineup. The acclaimed indie-rockers will perform on opening night, Friday, June 26, filling a spot vacated by Taj Mahal who is forced to cancel his appearance because of health issues. “We were obviously disappointed when we found out that Taj had to cancel, but that was alleviated some when we discovered we could get one of our favorite young bands, Speedy Ortiz,” festival organizer and Wilco manager Tony Margherita said. “We wish Taj a restful re-charge and look forward to seeing him back on the road later this summer.”

The Solid Sound Festival takes place June 26-28 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. Limited quantities of three-day tickets still remain. Single-day tickets for Saturday, June 27 are sold out. Limited quantities of single-day tickets for Friday, June 26 and Sunday, June 28 remain. Tickets are available through solidsoundfestival.com.
