Album track-list and artwork and a headline London show.
Based on the true story of Robin van Helsum (aka Forest Boy), Hengelo is about a young man who ran away to Berlin in order to escape mounting debt and a pregnant girlfriend in his Dutch hometown of Hengelo. When he arrived, he spontaneously invented a new identity, claiming to have lived in the woods with his father, who had just died. It’s about the modern, mundane problems that can affect us all, and the extreme, almost fantastical measures we might take to avoid them. It’s also about growing up and leaving your childhood behind.
Hengelo is taken from Spring Offensive’s forthcoming debut album ‘Young Animal Hearts’ to be release on the 10 March 2014.
