St. Vincent Debuts Music Video For "New York".


St. Vincent is pleased to unveil the video for her new song “New York”.

“New York” was released earlier this summer and is her first song in two years. The video was directed by celebrated visual artist Alex Da Corte, his first time working in the music video format.

Says Da Corte: “I think Annie’s New York is the New York of my dreams-one that is blurry and fractured, dreamy and flat. It is the Toontown to my Hollywood.  It is beautiful but slightly out of reach.”

St. Vincent recently discussed “New York” on revered US podcast Song Exploder.  “‘New York’ is really a composite for me – it’s everybody I love in that song, it’s my whole life in a song,” she says on the program:

In other St. Vincent news, a Los Angeles show has been added to her previously announced “Fear The Future Tour.”  It will take place on October 7 on the New York street set at Paramount Pictures Studios, as part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival. The tour arrives in the UK/Ireland on the 17th October, with shows in London, Manchester, and Dublin. Tickets are on sale now via
