Starsailor have today announced further celebrations for their 25th anniversary

Starsailor have today announced further celebrations for their 25th anniversary with a major UK tour for November visiting cities including Leeds, Wolverhampton, Norwich, Nottingham, Bristol, London, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Manchester.

Since their formation in 2000, Starsailor have achieved critical acclaim and commercial success, including two UK Top 2 albums (their debut Love Is Here and second Silence Is Easy) and a string of hit singles including ‘Fever’, ‘Alcoholic’, ‘Four To The Floor’ and ‘Good Souls’.  Their recent album, “Where The Wild Things Grow,” reached #2 on the Official Independent Albums Chart and received critical praise, with author Jane Savidge describing it as “an album that has no right to be as good as it is.”

The tour celebrating their six albums sees vocalist and guitarist James Walsh, bassist James “Stel” Stelfox, drummer Ben Byrne and keyboardist Barry Westhead still relish the chance to play their old classics alongside newer favourites.

Walsh commented: “We wanted to do something special to mark 25 years together as a band. These songs mean so much to people, we really enjoy playing them and seeing the audience’s reaction. We can’t wait!”
To start their incredible milestone, Starsailor will perform two very special sold out orchestral shows at Liverpool’s Tung Auditorium on February 15th, accompanied by a string ensemble conducted by acclaimed arranger Joe Duddell.

The magic of Starsailor persists after a quarter-century, enchanting both longtime devotees and newcomers alike. Their music, a tapestry of moving, communal songs, weaves a spell of wonder and beauty, ensuring that their journey continues for decades to come.

Starsailor’s 25th-anniversary celebrations also see them tour Europe in October with more news to be announced soon. Tickets for the November UK tour go on sale Friday 31^st January at 10am HERE. They will be joined by special guest Ed Harcourt on all dates except Leeds.
