STORNOWAY ANNOUNCE AUTUMN UK TOUR & NEW SINGLE
Oxford quartet Stornoway are proud to announce their second UK tour, following the release of the highly acclaimed sophomore album (out now) and will be releasing their second single,The Bigger Picture from Tales From Terra Firma in June 2013.
The tour playing through November2013 succeeds their 25 date sold out UK Spring run, which culminates with a much-anticipated headline show at London’s Forum on Wednesday 27th March. Tickets go on sale this9am Friday 28th March.
A stand out track,The Bigger Picture is pure Stornoway: a classic pop song, with a folk underbelly, wrapped in Brian Briggs’ beautifully penned lyrics and remarkably arranged by multi-instrumentalist Jon Ouin from the band. As with all the tracks on the album, The Bigger Picture marks a significant progression in the band’s canon – compositionally, instrumentally and, above all, lyrically. While beaming with an undeniable sophistication,Tales From Terra Firma retains the unique charm of their debut that entranced so many.
