(27th May 2026) Today, Strawberry Guy, aka Welsh Billboard 100 artist Alex Stephens, returns with his glorious new single, “I’ll Never Feel That Young Again”, via AWAL. Today’s release is Strawberry Guy’s first new music in five years and is a welcome return since the release of his ever green hit single, “Mrs Magic”.
Produced by Alex himself and mastered by Grammy Award-winner Matt Colton (Arctic Monkeys, Little Simz, Tame Impala, Wet Leg), “I’ll Never Feel That Young Again” is a cinematic, shimmering and nostalgic ode to days gone by. “It’s a song of hope written to a less developed version of who I am today,” says Alex. “A version of myself who didn’t know what was to come… But on the other side of that, there’s a part of me that misses the innocence of being that young. When you’re young, you kind of don’t care as much about being perfect and having your shit together. It is a love letter from my older self to my younger self and vice versa.”

Today, Strawberry Guy also announces a UK + European Autumn tour. The tour begins in Manchester at Band on The Wall on 18th September and will include a show at London’s Scala on 20th September. Tickets go on artist pre-sale on June 2nd @ 10 AM local time + tickets go on general sale on June 5th at 10 AM local time from here.

“I’ll Never Feel That Young Again” single artwork
It’s been a remarkable few years for Strawberry Guy. The Welsh artist released his debut EP in 2019, followed by his debut album Sun Outside My Window in 2021. Both marked him as a bold new talent crafting deeply singular impressionistic music that touched upon everything from 19th century classical music to golden era 20th century pop songwriting. However, in the lead up to his debut album, something completely unexpected happened. His track, ”Mrs Magic”, went viral on TikTok. And once it took off, it never stopped: he now has 11 million monthly listeners and over a billion streams. “Honestly, it took me by a lot of surprise,” he says. “I wrote my past two records when I was working as a cleaner. So, it’s fair to say that my life has kind of flipped upside down.” He now spends his time split between LA and Liverpool. “When I miss the sun, I go back over there, and when I miss British culture, I come back here,” he laughs.
While in some instances virality can often equate to fleeting vacuousness in the social media age, Strawberry Guy is a refreshing antidote to that narrative, and proof that meticulously crafted songs can simply sometimes resonate on a profoundly deep and far-reaching level. He expertly creates beautiful music that is tender, fragile, intimate and unshakably infectious.
