The ‘Mind Mischief’ single package, lifted from 2012’s ‘Lonerism’, is out this week on Modular Recordings.

‘Mind Mischief’ comes in both digital and vinyl forms, and with a couple of choice remixes. As if the original wasn’t already sufficiently spaced out, Ducktails sets his phasers to stoned and delivers a lovely laconic take on ‘Mind Mischief’. Swedish loop digger The Field meanwhile re-imagines the track as the kind of hypnotic, disorienting 3am chugger that will either make you woozy or all loved up depending on your lust for life, but either way it’s a certifiably wonderful trip.

The remixes follow on from the imaginative new video for ‘Mind Mischief’. Directed by Colonel Blimp’s David Wilson (Passion Pit, Metronomy) featuring both live action and Tame Impala’s signature trippy psychedelic animated visuals, the clip shows a schoolboy’s fantasy sex romp with one particularly come-hither teacher.

Over on UK shores, Tame Impala’s Hammersmith Apollo show is finally on the horizon. Their biggest headline show to date will be happening on the 25th June, tickets are priced £19.50 and available here. Tame will also perform at Primavera and Øya over summer, with details of more European festivals to be announced soon.
