Neon Waltz are considered by a good few as a worthy band also described as  ‘Scotland’s Coolest New Gang’ (NME), a short but fair introduction then?

Watch Neon Waltz’ new video for  ‘Dreamers’ which is released today on Ignition Records.

A fresh breeze blows from the far north of Scotland and through the long days of summer as Neon Waltz announces the release of new single, DREAMERS on Ignition Records. Stepping up a campaign of singles and relentless touring, the John O’Groats-based six-piece (“Scotland’s coolest new gang” NME) return once more with the strongest indication yet of their talent, desire and preparedness to prove any rumours of their prodigious musical gift beyond any doubt.

A precursor to their long-awaited, 10-track debut album, Strange Hymns (Fri 18 August 2017), Dreamers spares the listener nothing in three and a half minutes of pop that chimes with the unbridled hope and idealism of youth, accommodating rushing guitars, carousing  fairground keyboards and a vocal that surges with intent. Like all pulse-quickening anthems it reaches for the lapels, dances you round the room and is over all too soon.

A product of the band’s album sessions on the South Coast of England during autumn 2016, Dreamers was produced by Mikey Rowe and Andy Britton and follows Heavy Heartless (“A majestic wall of melody, the sound of six musicians and friends broadcasting on exactly the same frequency” Gigslutz) I Fall Asleep (“A downcast piece of acoustic driven psych-pop.” – Clash) and Perfect Frame (“Grandiose gorgeousness” – DIY) into a world that has so far welcomed the band’s breathlessly crystalline, chiming, guitar-forward pop.

Strange Hymns is now available for pre-order on CD, Vinyl and as a Digital Download via
