Violinist, singer, songwriter and producer Sudan Archives has released a live performance filmed specially for Berlin-based studio, COLORS.
With a minimal set-up – just Sudan and her violin – the LA resident performs a stunning rendition of ‘Iceland Moss’, one of the highlights from her debut album, Athena.

Sudan Archives returns to Europe this Spring, with a one-off appearance at the 6Music Festival in March and later at the Barcelona edition of Primavera Sound, with more dates to be announced. Her North American headline tour begins next month, with support from Velvet Negroni and Cartel Madras. Late last year, Sudan Archives released Athena via Stones Throw Records to widespread acclaim. A huge step forward for the Ohio native both musically and sonically – following her lauded EPs Sink and Sudan Archives – the album’s central theme of duality struck a chord. As a twin, Sudan has long been acquainted with the notion of opposites living within one entity and lyrically plunges head-first into themes of female strength, the co-existence of good and evil and people, relationship breakdowns, and the gulf between others’ perception of her and how she perceives herself.
