Supports announced for Jess Glynne at Alnwick Castle 12th August

Hotly tipped up-and-comers KIKO BUN and MULLALLY have been announced to support Jess Glynne at the 12th August concert, having been handpicked by the pop sensation herself. Excitement has been building for the event since it’s announcement; the concert it will see thousands of music fans descend to the grounds of the historic castle for a fun-filled day out.
MULLALLY’s music packs a soulful punch, his sing-along pop vocal arrangements painting vivid pictures in the minds of his listeners. His first 3 releases (Overdose, Troubled Love and Wonderful) have amassed over 6 million streams on Spotify alone and have been championed by tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1 MTV, SBTV and more. A fixture on BBC 1Xtra and regular on the festival circuit, KIKO BUN has been heralded as the ‘Sound of Summer’ with his refreshing and contemporary sound based on the re-emergence of Reggae, Soul and golden era Hip Hop that continues to infiltrate mainstream music.

First coming into the public consciousness as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Grammy Award winning and #1 hit ‘Rather Be’; pop sensation Jess Glynne has since become one of the biggest UK breakthrough acts of recent years. Her number-one charting debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh‘, has turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year. Jess is also one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles. 2016 was a further massive year for Jess, with a sold-out UK arena tour under her belt plus she was nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for ‘Hold My Hand’ at this year’s prestigious Brit Awards.

Alnwick Castle has found a soul mate in Music Plus Sport with which to form a new partnership for 2017 and beyond. An innovative music promoter, Music Plus Sport operate a number of live music brands including the hugely successful The Jockey Club Live venture, Donington Live and summer concerts at Rugby and Cricket ground across the UK.

Alnwick Castle has been home to the Percy family for over 700 years, and is the second largest inhabited castle in England. Concert attendees can enjoy an evenings entertainment against the stunning back drop of the Castle, with sweeping views of the Capability Brown landscape and the River Aln. The Castle has been used as a filming location for a number of TV and Film productions, most famously featuring as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films. Alnwick Castle is open to the public as a visitor attraction between March and October each year.
