“Triumphant” VILLAGE VOICE

ON TOUR NOW – DATES BELOW
Surfer Blood’s 1000 Palms is out now on Joyful Noise. The band’s third album and first with the respected indie imprint marks Surfer Blood’s triumphant return to DIY. Self-recorded and self-produced entirely by the band at home, 1000 Palms is Surfer Blood at their best and free of major-label-influence. The record has met with widespread critical acclaim upon its release this week
Surfer Blood kicked off the album release this week in NYC, playing to a packed house at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Monday followed by a headline benefit for it’s guitarist Thomas Fekete (who is fighting cancer) at Bowery Ballroom last night with friends including Andy Boay (of Tonstartssbahnt), DJ Allen Blickle (of Alpaca) Julianna Barwick, Cults, POP ETC, Marnie Stern & The Figs (w/ members of Les Savy Fav & Girls Against Boys), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and We Are Scientists. Visit Thom’sGoFundMe Page and see fan photos/videos from last night via Instagram @  #welovethomas
