Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the official debut album from Birmingham, UK’s Swampmeat, the project of Dan Finnemore (of near-cult acts Low Cut Connie, The Castillians and Black Mekon). Gin & Tonic will be released on November 25, with first single “Brand New Cadillac” leading the way.

Swampmeat is the project of Dan Finnemore, former co-frontman of US rock & roll act Low Cut Connieand the drummer of PNKSLM’s own The Castillians, as well as a former member of Birmingham cult actBlack Mekon. A long-time cult concern in their hometown of Birmingham, Swampmeat is now ready to step out of the shadows – over ten years after the project took its first steps.
PNKSLM Recordings are proud to release Swampmeat’s official debut release Gin & Tonic on November 25, on limited edition vinyl (distributed via Forte in the UK and Redeye in the US and rest of the world) and through all digital services. Gin & Tonic is a collection of country-fied rock and roll, straddling the edge between country, punk and rock and roll, with great songs and melodies, and lead single “Brand New Cadillac” serving as an introduction to the world of Swampmeat for the uninitated.
Swampmeat will be playing at PNKSLM’s third annual London weekender, The Slime Ball, on September 30 at The Lock Tavern, along with label mates ShitKid, Hater and Chemtrails, with more UK & EU dates for the fall to be announced. Swampmeat is also currently recording their second album, which is set to be released next year.
Swampmeat is Daniel Finnemore (vocals & guitars) and T-Bird Jones (drums & charm). Gin & Tonic is compiled from Swampmeat’s long-lost albums, originally released on limited edition CD-Rs between 2005 and 2009 by ColdRice Records. Recorded at Fazely St. Studios by Black Mekon and at Sunny Wycombe Studios by Luke Reilly.
