In a world where listening parties are a distant memory, Leeds-based Team Picture have created their very own futuristic 3d listening booth so you and all your pals can experience the full force of their brooding single Handsome Machine, which is taken from their much-loved genre-shifting debut album The Menace Of Mechanical Music, out now on Clue Records.

Guitarist Josh Lewis shares: “we have worked with our favourite jumble of polygons 3d_pete to create this evolving, explorable listening space for you to enjoy ‘Handsome Machine’ in. Come and exist for a while in our fluorescent nostalgia chamber and witness its many uncanny exhibits.”Inspired by an early 20th century essay under the same name by American marching band leader John Philip Sousa, Team Picture take a look at the automation of creativity on this, their first record with a fully settled line up.

Themes centre around the value of creative identity in an automated age, the increasingly disposable nature of art and where that leaves its creators. At twelve songs split into a three-part suite; The Menace of Mechanical Music is emphatically maximalist.The band have also been picked as one of the 22 finalists (from 1000+) to potentially play Green Man Festival 2021. Voting is simple, just hit the link here to send the love.
