Ten Benson are set to play a London show at The Lexington on the 10th of December to coincide with the release of their new Christmas single on the 18th of December 2015.

‘Snowman Snowgirl’ is a brand new version of an early (and little known) recording of the ‘B-side’ to the band’s single ‘Black Snow’

from back in 2000.

Ten Benson wanted to remake a more cheery sing-a-long for the kids, and offer people something a bit “more romantic” for the festive period.

The track features Benson’s trademark chunky guitar riffing but deviates from previous outings by introducing prominent female backing vocals, courtesy of bassist Mush Berrier. The new recording and the addition of Mush’s vocals makes, by the band’s usual standard, this Christmas stocking-filler tune remarkably easy on the ear – Daytime radio anyone?

The Ten Benson line-up of Chris Teckkam (guitar and vocals), Karl Hussey (drums), Mush Berrier (bass) and Steve Crittall (guitar) made their long awaited comeback last Summer with the acclaimed ‘Mud Man’ single and a handful of live shows.

Critically acclaimed and ever changing, Ten Benson first came on the scene at the end of the last century with the release of their debut single ‘The Claw’ in 1997. Since then they’ve released five albums and toured extensively, but over the last few years have been on a very long sabbatical undertaking different projects.

More details of their recording plans for next year will be announced very soon.
