Nashville-based masters of colour-crazed choruses, thrift store electronics and indestructibly buoyant melodies Terror Pigeon have announced a UK release for their new single ‘Girl!‘, due out on In Stereo Records/Fierce Panda on Monday 10th November. Taken from second album Live It Up Before You Die It Up! – which will see its full UK release on Monday 24th November – ‘Girl!‘ is accompanied by the delightfully short b-side ‘Boyfriend Personal Achievement Awards‘, which you can also now stream below.

The new LP follows 2010’s I Love You! I Love You! I Love You And I’m In Love With You! Have An Awesome Day! Have The Best Day Of Your Life! which was released on David Byrne‘s Luaka Bop label and instantly caused 183 bloggers’ typewriting keyboards to explode.
Apparently drawing from the Andrew WK school of philosophy, Fridd says of the project: “So if an asteroid was gonna take out Earth tomorrow, and your friends were having a huge party to celebrate what a wild ride it’s been, when you showed up this band would be playing. Join them in their jubiliant, dance party salute to the supreme ass-kickingness of life.”
