The Buttertones release "Madame Supreme" single
THE BUTTERTONES RELEASE “MADAME SUPREME” SINGLE
45 SINGLE ON SALE NOWLISTEN ON LA RECORD
It’s been a busy 2018 for The Buttertones, playing their biggest shows all over the world including a closing set at Coachella and releasing their latest record on Innovative Leisure, Midnight in a Moonless Dream.
“Madame Supreme” is a brand new biting tune that features Richard Araiza’s baritone vocals cut with a playful sax that draws you in before turning to the dark and sinister direction found on the rest of Midnight in a Moonless Dream. Also out today is a 45 single with of the track along with “Shutout” a dark but faithful cover of the Walker Brothers’ classic.

“a concoction of chugging guitars, brazen sax and appropriately buttery vocals plucking the best from nasty, scuzzed-out pre-Beatles rock ‘n’ roll and filtering it through modern garage chops”
NOISEY
“It’s a little goth-y and a little surfy with subtle nods to Ennio Morricone”
KCRW
“Surf elements are blended with garage energy, sweet soul and doo-wop inflections, post-punk precision, and dashes of jazzy melodies”
