THE CAVE CLUB
100 CLUB – 100 OXFORD STREET W1
SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST 2015
LIVE BAND: JULY
The Cave Club is set to continue its monthly residency at the 100 Club on London’s Oxford Street with some very special live guests on Saturday the 15th August 2015.
The club is proud to announce that they will host a live show from Psychedelic legends July who will take to the stage for a very rare live performance.
Featuring a line up of Tom Newman (lead vocals), Laurence O’Toole (bass guitar), Peter Cook (lead guitar), Justin Light (guitar) and Danny Maidens (drums), July are truly one of the most inspirational and important British bands of the sixties. Expect classics from their legendary 1968 eponymously titled LP including ‘My Clown’, ‘Dandelion Seeds’, ‘Friendly Man’ and ‘Crying Is For Writers’.
Now settled in at one of the capitals most iconic venues, the night will see Cave founder and resident DJ Rhys Webb of The Horrors joined on the decks by long time collaborators, Chris Hoodoo and The Voyeurs’, Sam Davies. Together with some very special guests, The Cave Club is going back to its roots for a heavy evening of mind expanding of Psychedelia, Freakbeat, Garage Punk and Electronic Oscillations.
After seven successful years of its monthly residency at The Buffalo Bar, The Cave was forced to relocate to it’s new home in the West End. Since day one, the club has inspired many and been at the forefront of all things good in the capital’s ever changing nightlife. Not only the best place in London to dance, but bands such as TOY, The Voyeurs, Novella, Factory Floor, Telegram and Temples were invited to play their earliest shows to an unsuspecting, but eager club crowd.
