MEET THE CORONAS: The band, not the virus!
The Coronas’ 13-year journey has definitely been unique. With multi-platinum-selling albums and a huge fan base in their native Ireland, they have not only had to endure their entire 2020 game plan for the release of their 6th album and a world tour being totally upended by a global pandemic, they have also been the target of lots of (not so gentle) ribbing.
Sharing a name with the virus that has altered lives worldwide has been a challenge, but The Coronas, whose name actually came from the typewriter in the Cameron Crowe film Almost Famous, have been actively engaging their fan base during the global shutdown and recently “hit the road” in Ireland in an ice cream van to bring their long-awaited new album, TRUE LOVE WAITS, their first new album since the Irish chart-topping TRUST THE WIRE in 2017, directly to their fans. Ice cream was an added plus. TRUE LOVE WAITS is available NOW via the band’s SoFarSoGood Records imprint, distributed by Blix Street Records.
“Cold” is the first U.S single release from the new album. One music site described it with: The last minute will raise your arm hair vertically.
