Kid Forest: Twisted Homes

Kid Forest: Twisted Homes

There’s nothing that can come as a surprise with the new up and coming, Oslo based, indie pop band Teddy and The Love Gang. In a short time, they’ve developed a distinct and instantly recognizable sound, combining groovy, catchy melodies and the wonderment of a child with a dark and moody side that appeals to an adult audience without taking itself too seriously. Lead singer, Theo, has a magical charm that enchants his audiences into following him into their oddball universe. His unique voice complements the syncopated rhythm that has become part of their identity. They revel in being a band that likes to play with contrasts to create tension in the music.

The band is known for their playfulness on stage and their eccentric sound, free from the rules of any genre.

EP 2: Kid Forest: City Dreams out April 27th.

-Their debut EP, Playgrounded, got them booked to Klubb-Øya, Gramo Underwood, JavaZone (Norway’s largest tech-event), a live performance at NRK P3 (biggest national radio show in Norrway) and listing on college radio USA. All of which has helped them continue to steadily grow their dedicated fanbase.

-Appearances presenting their app JamBuddy (a recording app for musicians) on TED X  it has opened them up to a wider audience for more than just their music.

-Their music video for “Going in Circles” was directed by award winning film producer Nic Osborne and premiered on Norwegian music site

-Though their individual musical upbringings and influences range from jazz and hip-hop to metal and classical, one thing they all share as an influence is the soundtracks of early video games.

-Currently, the first of their trilogy of EP’s set to be released in March 2018. In an age of streaming music where albums are simple a collection of singles,TaTLG are presenting a cohesive product through the three releases, creating a concept album that reveals itself truly when consumed as a whole.
