New Video “Escape” Out Now via

“The Lagoons have churned out a freeing, indie-pop anthem.” – Ones to Watch

‘“…the duo has also earned its stripes and honed its live chops in anticipation of bigger stages ahead.”  – Bandsintown

“With heavenly synth, ice-cream cool harmonies, and the occasional sexy sax to sweeten the mix, every song shimmers with Miami Vice vibes.”  – Austinot

“…Infectiously dreamy.” Blurred Culture

Spotify-playlist favorites The Lagoons have released the video to their latest single, Escape.” Literally escaping the droll office life, our video hero dances their way out to the desert, the water, the forest, and the field along to the groovy bass and compelling saxophone. “When coming up with the concept for the ‘Escape’ music video, we wanted to capture that place you go when breaking free from control. This is our rendition of reality versus fantasy.” As you’re watching and listening, it’s difficult to deny the need to dance.

“Escape” can be found on The Lagoons’ EP of the same name, out now. The Los Angeles natives are known for their laid-back, festival-friendly sound, which consists of 70’s-esque rock jazz and modern synth-pop. The Lagoons popularity continues to skyrocket as they have over 20 million streams on Spotify.

The Austin-based duo grew up playing saxophone and trumpet in their middle school jazz band in California. As the brothers went through high school, Ryan learned how to play the guitar while Joey learned the piano. Shortly after, they began writing music together and The Lagoons were born.

The Lagoons’ latest EP Escape is out now.
