Punk rock Cheshire cats The Luka State release their new single ‘Bury Me’ through Saltown Records on Friday October 5th. The single is available to buy and stream from https://fanlink.to/buryme ‘Bury Me’ was recorded at The Pool, Bermondsey, produced by Jamie Evans and mixed by Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, U2).

‘Bury Me ’ is a thrilling thrash of a song about the birds and the bees and primal urges down the local. Lead vocalist Conrad Ellis says “it’s about indulging that lust. I think it should be celebrated and not a taboo subject.”

The Luka State hail from Winsford in Cheshire, which is famous for its salt mine and lies halfway between Liverpool and Manchester. “What’s Winsford famous for? Fucking nothing! Apart from salt and salt mines; we are all the salt of the earth up here.” adds Conrad. The area they grew up is a heavy influence for their lyrics, indeed, Conrad states, “Our town breeds boredom and despair”.

Having toured continually over the last few years, including support slots with Feeder, The Luka State play the following UK headline shows and festivals over the next four months:

‘Bury Me’ is the followup to the acclaimed ‘Feel It,’ released earlier this year and championed at BBC 6 Music and Radio X. The Luka State‘s bassist, Sam Bell, played George Harrison in the John Lennon biopic ‘Nowhere Boy,’ where he met Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game Of Thrones). This led to Thomas appearing in two Luka State videos ’30 Minute Break’ and ‘Rain.”
