A  quote from the band below re the video.

“In the last year we’ve been bitten by the whole film bug and after seeing the reaction to last years 30 Minute Break, I wanted to do something special for the track. As tempting as it was to get loaded for the shoot it’s actually all acting. We wanted to reimagine the track as a bad trip with a really dark feel and it was loads of fun!”

“Epic guitars and contagious synth lines, youthful energy and cocky bravado.” – ClashMusic

“Unceasingly bubbles with energy” – Disorder

“The epitome of modern rock-n-roll.” – Vulture Hound

Cheshire based indie rock trio The Luka State, consisting of Conrad Ellis (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Sam Bell (Bass) and new addition Jake Barnabas (Drums), return with their new single The Believer released on 16th March 2015. The track will be the first of several from their forthcoming 7 track mini album planned for the middle of the year.

Initially written as a throw away acoustic intro for the start of their record, the song took on a life of its own en route to recording. With the addition of a Hans Zimmer / Brian Eno inspired synth backing track, ‘The Believer’ was complete.

Entirely self produced, but with award winning producer Chris Sheldon on the mix, the single exudes an adult energy, which is a sea change from single 30 Minute Break’, which has now had over 600,000 plays on YouTube. The trio have received UK airplay support for their previous two releases from BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Kerrang! Radio.

Formed in 2012, the band has not only played self-funded tours of the UK, but North America and Europe too thanks to their strong DIY ethic. With a live show even stronger than their records they have recently won the hearts and minds of the crowds on their recent UK tour with One Night Only.
