Portland, OR-based quartet, The Shivas are today sharing their new single, “Doom Revolver” which emerges as the latest in a series of singles released by the Seattle-based label, Suicide Squeeze Records (L.A. Witch, Death Valley Girls, The Coathangers) titled Pinks and Purples. The band has a date at the Mercury Lounge, New York confirmed for May 29 before they head over to Europe for a full run ticking off dates in the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands and more.

Over the course of the past 16 years, The Shivas have perfected the art of conjuring the magic of late ‘60s / early ‘70s Electric Kool Aid-soaked rock n’ roll. You want your Mamas & the Papas-style harmonies? You want big Brian Jones-era Stones riffs? You want everything to sound like it’s recorded on a top-of-the-line quarter-inch four-track tape machine? When speaking about the new single, Jared Molyneux (singer/guitarist) of the band says: “Doom Revolver” was written over the last couple of years. It was recorded in January of 2022 at Trash Treasury, and was produced by Cameron Spies. The cover image is a polaroid from a real life UFO encounter in the middle of nowhere, Oregon. Over the next several weeks we will be playing some Pacific NW dates. In the last week of May we will fly to NYC for a couple of shows, en route to Europe for a 2 month long tour there, which is slated to begin June 1.”
