The Vaccines – Announce details of seaside arena shows in May 2012.

The_Vaccines-what-did-you-expect-from-the-vaccines-cover_2011Following their recent sold-out European and UK headline tour, which culminated in 2 shows at London’s O2 Brixton Academy, The Vaccines have announced 4 seaside arena dates in May 2012.



The dates are as follows:


2nd                              Dundee                                                Caird Hall

3rd                               Bridlington                                           Spa

4th                               Blackpool                                            Empress Ballroom

7th                               Brighton                                               Centre

Tickets for the shows are priced at £18.50 and will be available from 9am Friday 16th December via or 0844 811 0051.

They have also been announced to play next year’s Field Day Festival on June 2nd in London’s Victoria Park.

The band released their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, in March of this year – the album has gone on to sell 250,000 copies in the U.K. alone.

Additionally, they have just been confirmed to appear on this year’s Christmas Day Top of the Pops, where they will be performing their single If You Wanna.

Currently writing new songs, a handful of which were premiered on their recent tour, the band aim to release their second album at some point in 2012.


The Vaccines are: Arni Arnason (bass), Freddie Cowan (guitar / vocals), Pete Robertson (drums) & Justin Young (vocals / guitar).
