Infused with summertime sunshine vibes, this is top-notch power pop from a kid worth keeping tabs on’

Record Of The Day.

Following a limited edition run of 7” vinyl last year for his release ‘Get Along’, Swindon based Theo Altieri is set to release his new single ‘Little Fun’ on 8thJune 2015.  ‘Little Fun’ is a catchy slice of summertime indie-pop featuring gritty sounding guitars, punky chords and bold, cocky drums.

This talented teenage singer-songwriter has already received heavy radio support from BBC Introducing and is also a firm favourite of Amazing Radio, having been previously awarded Best Unsigned Male Artist. Altieri also recently celebrated his 18th birthday not long after being selected out of 6000 entries for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent long-list.

In his own words, Altieri says the inspiration for ‘Little Fun’ happened after “…listening to Beck’s “Odelay” album for the first time.  I woke up and started writing with a less “particular” head on. Also I had just watched a documentary about dodgy narcotics in other countries and felt the song was just about everyone seeking fun in one way or another.”

The video was shot in his home Swindon,  “The music video was all shot on a gopro around Swindon and is about my perception of what I know a “little fun” to be. I wanted to capture the usual kind of weekend with a bunch of mates, fooling around and forgetting about everything.”

Citing influences which range from The Jam, Arctic Monkeys, Beck and Mac DeMarco, Altieri and his three-piece band have already played live alongside the likes of George Ezra and Babyshambles, whilst also recently signing a publishing deal with Warner/ Chappell Music.

You can catch Theo Altieri playing live on:
